Position Summary

Under the general and direct supervision of the corporate administrators provides custom coding and software development with the ability to exchange information across various systems, platforms, databases and software packages. Perform IT/Network Administration, IT technician, Linux administration and other diverse duties as requested or required.

Essential Job Functions

Computer Systems: Hardware including servers, pc’s, scanners, printers; Software including SQL and Access, Orchard (LIS), Satellite Med PACS System, Sign-In Electronically, GE Centricity Practice Solutions (CPS), Mid Mark, CardioSoft, Datascan, NovaTime, Phone System, Code Correct, Payment Processing, Kryptiq, Biscom, Email, Microsoft Package, Ovation and Adobe Acrobat. Existing and New computer systems can be changed or added at any time.

Primary Job: Maintain existing systems and develop new processes utilizing the most innovative systems and minimizing cost to the company. Utilize structured and documented coding practices. Develop code to run on LAMP, MsSQL, C+ C Sharp, Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, ASP, IIS, Tomcat, HL7, iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, all popular web browsers, Windows, Mac, and have the ability to learn other languages and platforms as needed. Coordinate with vendors concerning issues or errors within the specific platform. Resolve utilization errors by users in software packages. Trouble shoot hard ware, soft ware and networking problems related to IT in the clinic. Provide support, training and consultation to employees concerning all sections of the EMR.

Phones: Utilize phone system properly, answer phones in a courteous manner, quickly identify caller’s needs, route calls appropriately, create complete flag and phone notes and route appropriately.

Communication: Communicate with all staff, patients, and other healthcare providers using phones, CPS flags and phone notes, secure messaging, and Company email; utilizing each method when appropriate. Follow up and seek resolution to complaints per policy and reports them to the corporate administrative team. Report all incidents as per policy.

  • Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that Satellite Med is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner

  • Attends Satellite Med meetings as required
  • Assist supervisor or other administrative staff with assigned tasks

  • Maintain integrity while handling all financial transactions
  • Proper care of Company property and equipment
  • Proper knowledge and use of security and emergency procedures

Job Standards

Education: Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required. Degree in Information Systems or related field is requested. CPR and AED certification is recommended

Experience: Minimum 3 years experience developing code is preferred. Experience in Information Systems is highly recommended . Experience in Clinical Information Systems is preferred. Pay is based upon experience level
